Effective Date: This refund policy came into effect on 1 January 2025 and applies to all programme enrolments from that date forward.

Our Commitment to You

At Kythond Byl, we're committed to delivering valuable investment theory education. But we also understand that circumstances change. Sometimes what looked like the right fit turns out not to be.

This policy outlines when refunds are available, how to request one, and what timelines to expect. We've tried to keep things straightforward without burying important details in legal jargon.

Eligibility for Refunds

Not every situation qualifies for a refund, and timing matters. Here's what we consider:

  • Requests must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected]
  • The specific programme and enrolment date must be clearly identified
  • A brief explanation of why you're requesting the refund helps us improve
  • Refund requests are reviewed within 5 business days of receipt

Time-Based Eligibility

  • Full refund: Requests made within 14 days of initial payment and before accessing more than 20% of course materials
  • Partial refund (50%): Requests made between 15-30 days of payment with less than 40% material accessed
  • No refund: Requests after 30 days, completion of more than 40% of materials, or after receiving a completion certificate

Special Circumstances

Life happens. We get it. Some situations fall outside our standard policy but deserve consideration:

  • Medical emergencies that prevent participation (documentation may be required)
  • Technical issues on our end that significantly impact your learning experience
  • Programme cancellation or substantial changes initiated by Kythond Byl
  • Duplicate payments or billing errors (full refund of the duplicate amount)

Each special circumstance is reviewed individually. We aim to be fair while also protecting the integrity of our educational offerings.

How the Refund Process Works

Submit Your Request

Email [email protected] with your full name, programme details, payment date, and reason for the refund request. Include your original payment receipt if possible.

Initial Review

Our team reviews your request within 5 business days. We'll check your eligibility based on the criteria outlined in this policy and verify the details of your enrolment.

Decision Notification

You'll receive an email explaining whether your refund has been approved, partially approved, or denied. If denied, we'll explain why and discuss any alternative options available.

Payment Processing

Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days of the decision. The actual time for funds to appear in your account depends on your payment method and financial institution.

Access Termination

Once a refund is processed, your access to programme materials, resources, and any associated community platforms will be terminated. Downloaded materials must be deleted as they remain our intellectual property.

Scenario: Changed Your Mind

You enrolled but realized the programme isn't what you expected. If you request a refund within 14 days and haven't accessed much content, you'll likely receive a full refund.

Scenario: Financial Hardship

Unexpected financial difficulties arose after enrolment. While we're sympathetic, standard time and access limits still apply. Contact us early to discuss your options.

Scenario: Technical Problems

If you experienced significant technical issues that we couldn't resolve quickly, document them and contact us. We may offer a refund or programme extension depending on the circumstances.

Refund Methods and Processing Times

Refunds are issued using the same payment method you originally used. You can't request a refund to a different payment method for security reasons.

Processing times are estimates. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to reflect the refund in your account. If you haven't received your refund within the stated timeframe plus 5 business days, contact us.

What's Not Covered

Some situations fall outside our refund policy. It's worth knowing these upfront:

  • Programme completion: If you've finished the programme or obtained a certificate, refunds aren't available
  • Buyer's remorse after 30 days: Once you're a month in, we consider you committed to the learning journey
  • Changed priorities: While understandable, simply losing interest after engaging with substantial content doesn't qualify
  • Third-party payments: If someone else paid for your enrolment, they must request the refund
  • Promotional or discounted enrolments: Different terms may apply; check your enrolment agreement
